Human Rights Campaign
Coming Out Resources, Know Your Rights, and LGBTQ+ Organizations & Advocacy
The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is one of the largest LGBTQ advocacy organizations in the United States. Through policy work, public education, research, and corporate accountability initiatives, HRC works to advance equality and protect the rights of LGBTQ people nationwide.
HRC advocates for nondiscrimination protections in employment, housing, healthcare, and public accommodations. The organization also tracks state and federal legislation that impacts LGBTQ communities and mobilizes supporters to take action when rights are threatened.
One of HRC’s most recognized initiatives is the Corporate Equality Index, which evaluates major companies on their LGBTQ workplace policies and benefits. HRC also publishes research reports, voter guides, and policy briefs that help individuals stay informed about current issues affecting the community.
In addition to policy advocacy, HRC supports youth programs, leadership development, and public awareness campaigns that promote inclusion and dignity for LGBTQ people across the country.
