Loom Collective
Gender-Affirming Care and Mental Health & Therapy
Loom Collective is a queer and trans owned organization that offers continuing education, training, and community learning for therapists, educators, and community members working toward liberation-oriented care. Their work is trauma-informed, social-justice centered, and designed to support marginalized communities without replicating institutional harm.
For clinicians, they offer trainings on deepening affirming practice with trans and gender-expansive clients. For educators, they provide equity-centered tools for supporting students in crisis. For community members and organizers, they offer workshops on responding to distress and conflict in ways that build collective safety rather than relying on punitive systems.
They also host a free monthly Gender-Affirming Care Consultation Group for medical and mental health providers and students, held virtually on the first Wednesday of each month. Many of their offerings are free or pay-what-you-can, making them more accessible to people who need them most.
