The Pride Center at Equality Park

The Pride Center at Equality Park is one of the largest and most established LGBTQ+ community centers in the southeastern United States, located in Wilton Manors, Florida and serving the broader South Florida community. Founded with the mission of providing a welcoming, safe, and inclusive home for LGBTQ+ people, The Pride Center offers a wide range of programs built around health, connection, wellness, and belonging — including one of the most notable LGBTQ+ senior programs in the country.
The Active Aging program hosts what it describes as the largest weekly gathering of LGBTQ+ older adults in the nation, with Coffee and Conversation every Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The program also offers daily senior exercise classes, wellness workshops, linkage services, cultural events, and an annual Active Aging Health Expo held each fall. For LGBTQ+ elders who face distinct risks of isolation and who are often overlooked by broader senior services, this program is a meaningful and rare resource.
HIV and STI services include free, confidential HIV testing on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM with no appointment needed, additional STI testing through the AHF Pride Center Wellness Center on campus, free at-home HIV test kit orders, and community outreach testing through partner locations. Wellness services complement testing with mental health support, nutritional counseling, and health screenings.
Transgender services include support groups, resources for navigating legal and medical systems, and social programming that affirms transgender identities. Women with Pride offers programming specifically for LGBTQ+ women including networking, education, and social events. A David Bohnett Cyber Center provides technology access on campus, and The Residences at Equality Park offers LGBTQ-affirming long-term housing for those who qualify.
