2026 Q1 Quarterly Impact Statement

This quarter has felt like something quietly taking root and beginning to grow.

When Queer and Unbroken first launched at the end of last September, it was an idea shaped by lived experience and a hope that it might reach someone who needed it. Six months later, it is becoming something real. Something people are finding, returning to, and sharing with others.

In the first quarter of this year alone, the platform welcomed 642 active users and generated 1,339 views. Over the past six months, that has grown to more than 1,600 users and 3,700 views. What stands out most is not just the increase, but the consistency. People are spending time here, with an average session lasting nearly three minutes. They are reading, exploring, and staying.

Visibility has also started to take hold in a meaningful way. Queer and Unbroken is now appearing on the first page of Google for multiple search terms connected to queer identity, healing, resilience, and community. That kind of discoverability matters. It means people who are searching for connection, language, or understanding are beginning to find their way here.

This quarter also brought steady growth across social platforms. On Facebook alone, the community grew by more than 600 followers. A large part of that growth came through an act of generosity from my friend Neema, a member of the LGBTQIA+ community here in Orlando, who shared Queer and Unbroken with his own audiences. That kind of connection, one person opening the door for others, is exactly the kind of growth this space is built on. It is something I hope continues, because it allows the work to reach people who might not have found it otherwise.

Support is beginning to deepen as well. This quarter, Queer and Unbroken welcomed a new Patreon supporter. That kind of support carries meaning. It is someone choosing to stand behind this work and help sustain it, and that trust is not something I take lightly.

There has also been growth happening offline, in real spaces. I invested in printed materials, including rack cards and business cards, and began sharing them locally at District Dive here in Orlando. I have already gone through an entire box and started on a second. There is something grounding about placing this work directly into people’s hands, outside of algorithms and screens.

On the website itself, a new resources center was recently launched this quarter. It is still early, but it is already beginning to gain traction in Google search. This is an important step toward building a more robust resource hub, one that can serve the community in practical ways alongside storytelling and reflection. If you have any suggestions for resources, please use the contact form to send them my way.

And today marks a moment that feels especially meaningful. The very first Queer and Unbroken interview is being recorded. This is the beginning of a new chapter, one that expands beyond written work into shared conversations and lived voices. It opens the door for more perspectives, more stories, and a deeper sense of connection moving forward.

This quarter has not been about rushing growth. It has been about building something steady enough to hold people when they arrive.

There is still so much ahead. More stories. More voices. More ways to reach the people who need this space.

But for now, it feels important to pause and recognize that this is already working. People are finding Queer and Unbroken. They are staying. And little by little, they are helping it grow.

Blessed beyond measure,

Jamie
